My name is Steven Blom. I’m the founder of Napkin Note, and I live in Beverly Hills, California.
Napkin Note was born from a simple insight about the impact of language: the right words, at the right time, can change how you feel, think, and act and remind you who you are.
I’ve spent much of my life building companies that help people connect: with each other, with their ideas, and with themselves. From audience-engagement platforms (Sendsteps) to receptionist technology (Butler United) to wellness and mindset tools, my work has always centered on one theme: human connection.
While growing companies my personal life and mental health needed to evolve as well so I kept a list with sentences I wanted to make sure to remember. When I read a book I took the most important sentences and put them on my list. When I spoke with someone inspiring I asked for sentences that changed their lives and recorded them in the list as well. Over time, this evolved into a project I wanted to share with others, your own daily notes of reflection, encouragement, and growth, now available as an app at napkinnote.cc.
I believe technology can do more than capture our attention; it can elevate it. Napkin Note is a gentle nudge toward mindfulness in motion, a place where simple words meet real impact.
Outside of Napkin Note I absolutely love flowers and photograph them each day and with the rest of the time I lead and invest in ventures through Yaiks Incorporated, building internet-driven products that help people and organizations thrive.
At its heart, my work is always about creating meaningful experiences and tools that remind us that growth, kindness, connection and awareness can start with something as small as a note on a napkin.
